Materials:

Glass Cutter

Lighter

A basin of cold water

180 and 320 grit sand paper

Beer Bottle

Gorilla Glue (2x)

Heavy Books

Directions:

Soak your beer bottle to remove any labels and glue.  Use the glass cutter to score the base of the beer bottle, about a 1/2 up from the bottom.  We clamped our glass cutter in a vice and turned the bottle in order to get an even score.  Use a lighter to heat up the bottle around the score line.  Turn the bottle a couple of times in the heat until you get soot on the bottle. Immediately pop the bottle in the cold water bath.  If you scored the bottle well enough and got it hot enough, the bottom of the bottle should pop off.  If not, repeat the previous steps until you have success.  Use your sand paper to sand down the edges.   Use 180 grit to sand down any rough jags and even the surface.  Use 320 grit to smooth it down.
Use a small amount of 2x Gorilla Glue on the bottom piece of the beer bottle that popped off.  Flip the top part of the bottle so that the spout points downward; nestle the mouth into the gorilla glue.  Balance a heavy book or weight on top and let dry for 60 minutes.  Glue will dry white and bubble slightly.  Once glue is dry, give  the bottles a thorough cleaning.  Goblet is dish washer safe and food safe!
